TREY
YATES
As
a graduate of the University of Houston and St. Mary's School
of Law in San Antonio in 1984, Trey has had a civil trial law
practice in Houston, Harris County, Ft. Bend County, Brazoria
County and Galveston County since 1986 with a primary focus
in complex family law matters, probate/guardianship litigation,
estate planning, and major personal injury claims.
Trey
also has experience in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms
such as mediation, arbitration and collaborative family law.
He
has been a Certified Attorney Mediator since 1998 and a Certified
Family Law Mediator since 1999.
He
is also a Collaborative Family Lawyer providing his clients with
yet another alternative to costly litigation in divorce or child
custody matters.
Mr.
Yates is involved as a volunteer in both pro bono legal outreach
and civic matters in the Houston community.
He
has served on the Board of Directors of many charitable organizations
that provide a variety of assistance to local citizens.
Trey
is a frequent speaker and participant at continuing legal education
seminars focusing on family law and providing necessary legal services
to Houston's indigent population.
Legal
Support Staff
Under the direction and supervision of its attorneys, The Law Office
of Sam M. (Trey) Yates, III, P.C. has a support staff compromised
of Certified Legal Assistants, legal secretaries, legal administration
personnel and other support personnel.
Bilingual
services are available. In addition to its legal support staff,
the Yates law office also maintains a network of experts - forensic
accountants, financial planners, investigative services, psychological
professionals and parent coordinators - to counsel clients and find
them the information necessary to make an informed decision and
to ensure that they are prepared for trial.
